Let’s Raise a Toast

January 15, 2010

What’s even more fantastic than a slender flute bubbling with Cristal?  How about a blooming edible flower at the bottom of your glass.

Wild Hibiscus Flowers are placed into your champagne flute, and when champagne is poured over top of them the flower opens up as the bubbles swirl around it.  The flowers are completely edible – they have a raspberry/rhubarb flavour and the texture similar to a marachino cherry.

They come packed in a red syrup and lends a slight pinkish hue to the champagne.  You can add more of the syrup if you want your champagne to have a more intense sweetness and pink colour – perfect for pink-themed weddings!

If you want to add something completely unique to your festivities this would be the perfect thing.
